Tom Webber

Starbucks to Stardom

Tom Webber picked up a guitar at the age of 12 and his career as a performer started as a busker in Oxford when he was just 15.

From years spending time with his grandfather and father listening to anything from The Beatles and Beach Boys to Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan, he started out playing covers – but an Audio Production degree at SAE culminated in his debut EP “Stop and Think About It” with the beautiful standout track “Martha” and earned him a performance and the title of Best Demo of the Year at 2022’s Glastonbury Festival. Other festivals including Isle of Wight, Truck and Womad soon followed.

Inspired by music of all generations past and present, Tom’s sound is filled with both classic & contemporary influences such as Sam Cooke, Bob Dylan, Jake Bugg & Paolo Nutini and has developed into one of the most recognisable new young singer songwriters.

2023 has seen him play The Great Escape, join Chris Difford at his writing week with the Buddy Holly Foundation and a handful of festival across the Summer.

The Interview

Just one month ago, Oxfordshire-born musician Tom Webber worked at his local Starbucks store in Didcot. But after continuing to make a name for himself, he's now preparing for his Glastonbury debut! After the last promo we shot for Tom, he was awarded the 'Best Demo of the Year' by Glastonbury. Tom has now released his new single 'I'm Yours'. A beautifully written song that takes inspiration from some of his favourite country and folk music. The song expresses the measures that he would go to see someone he cares about. We had the opportunity to sit down with Tom and discuss his new single, what it feels like to be on tour with Nick Lowe and what he offers to the music industry.

Records that have shaped his career

Every artist within the music industry has music that has inspired them. Music that triggered an idea or even music that encouraged them to start writing their own music in the first place. We sat down with Tom Webber and spoke about the albums that have helped shape his career so far.
